Kelly has been raised in a Christian home with her parents, Don and Linda, and her older brother Mark. Since middle school, Kelly has felt called to evangelism, and throughout high school, she was involved in an evangelical drama team called "Soul Patrol" that toured the United States each summer sharing the gospel through drama performances as well as open-air preaching. "The desire of my heart was to preach the gospel through the vehicle of drama, and so, since high school, Psalm 37:4 has been my favorite verse. It says, 'Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.'"

Kelly feels that sharing her faith gives her a feeling of joy and excitement. She says, “I just feel like the Holy Spirit is with me the whole time and He brings scriptures I learned years ago into my mind for me to share. It’s difficult to explain, but I know that the Holy Spirit is speaking through me, that way, all the glory goes to HIM!”

One of her favorite memories of sharing her faith in an ‘open air’ setting was when she traveled to Manti , Utah with her drama team. In Utah , every summer, the LDS church celebrates Mormonism through a presentation called, “The Mormon Miracle Pageant.” This pageant would run every night for one week and during that week, her drama team would arrive early, set up on the street and perform evangelical dramas for the Mormons waiting to attend the pageant. Kelly recalls, “All the Mormon families would arrive early to get good seats for the pageant, so it was a perfect opportunity to perform Christian dramas in front of a waiting audience. Also, most of the Mormon teenagers didn’t really care about attending the pageant in the first place, so they were very eager to see our performances because we were teenagers from California .” The vehicle of drama presented Kelly with many opportunities to preach the true gospel of Christianity to those in Utah .

When the idea for the radio show, “Last Words” came up, Kelly was very interested in the opportunity to serve the Lord in evangelism ministry once again. Growing up with Ray Comfort’s style of preaching since 1989, Kelly has become very familiar with the Biblical way of sharing your faith. “In high school, I remember attending home Bible studies taught by Ray Comfort. He showed us how to share our faith using gospel tracts and using the law as a schoolmaster to drive people to Christ. I’ll never forget that!”

Kelly has been married to Chris for 5 years and they are praying that God will bless them with a family very soon. Together, they run a Junior High Drama/Evangelism team at their church and God has blessed them in that ministry. Kelly is a high school English teacher and enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with family!
